Week 48: a podcast of our own meeting

29 November 2024

This week went like this:

  • I had a call with a LinkedIn sales rep about Sales Navigator, which I hope will help us find CTOs and COOs to do user research with. I then spent most of the week trying to unsubscribe from LinkedIn via Apple so I could subscribe to Sales Navigator. LinkedIn does that frustrating thing where you can only get a demo of something if you haven’t subscribed to another product before.
  • I chatted with a coach about coaching. The advice was to find three to five people who have done this before. I’m thinking about who those people might be.
  • I had a call with someone interested in joining Kollektiv.
  • I thought about how people join Kollektiv and what it means to be part of it at the moment, and started thinking about how to structure it so that it’s equitable for everyone.
  • I wondered about Slack, WhatsApp and the other tools we need. I’ve bought a Miro subscription and I’ll move everything from Mural into a single Miro board.
  • I chatted with a few collaborators about AI, which turned out not to be about AI but about our proposition and service offering. I put the transcript into NotebookLM, which created a 20-minute podcast summarising our conversation. It’s not perfect, but it’s okay, and an interesting way of consuming meeting notes.
  • I did a lot of research and thinking about AI and how it’s going to affect organisational transformation. Some interesting reading and listening: Business Insider, why burnout is the silent killer of product teams, and The Diary of a CEO with Eric Schmidt.
