Week 47: you are moving fast
A quick update on what’s been happening this week.
I had a lovely lunch with a friend to talk more about Kollektiv. I also grabbed coffee with an old boss who ran his own agency for 20 years and now helps others build businesses. He gave solid feedback on the pitch:
- Simplify it for people unfamiliar with what we do. It’s too fluffy, with too much jargon.
- Highlight the potential and experience of everyone involved.
He said, “You’re moving fast!” That hit me. A lot has happened in the past two weeks.
I first pitched the idea to a friend on 5 November, then to another on 8 November. Since then, I’ve:
- drafted some rough principles
- registered a French company
- finalised (for now!) the branding
- tested the proposition with ten people beyond the founding group
- launched a basic website (so basic it’s motivating me to improve it fast)
- set up Google Workspace so I can get email at @wearekollektiv.eu
- built a backlog
- explored the challenges CTOs face (with some help from ChatGPT) and started thinking about how we might solve them
- printed two rounds of business cards (the first batch was… shit)
- created LinkedIn and Instagram pages (still a work in progress)
- pitched Kollektiv to a few people at a networking event
I’m sure I’ve forgotten a few things, but I wouldn’t have done any of this without the support and encouragement of the people around me. Thank you for the belief and trust. It means a lot.
