Week 15: a week of writing
I’m working on GovTech Barbados, where we’re helping the CEO define what GovTech is.
This week was about writing. Writing principles for GovTech. Writing recommendations based on what we’ve seen, and wondering if we’ve got enough evidence to make them. Revisiting the problems we’ve seen, and wondering if I’m trying to apply too much rigour in linking every recommendation back to them. Things we’re framing as opportunities. All of this builds on the story we’re telling about GovTech’s future. Thanks to my Public Digital colleagues for helping reframe lots of this, and for being great sounding boards for ideas.
I’ve started prepping for our next trip to Barbados, the week after next. We know more now. We’ve got a better understanding of the country, a clearer idea of where we’re going (metaphorically), and we know who to meet.
Now I’m off up a mountain for the next two days.
