Week 50: what Google thinks a topic is made of
This week has been challenging, thanks to potential COVID symptoms and anxiety over selling my house in the UK.
The highlights:
- Someone new came to Kollektiv office hours on Monday. It’s great to see the Kollektiv expanding.
- I arranged an interview with a CTO for next week, which will be our first interview about the service offering.
- I wrote people profiles and edited the website content. The new profiles go live on Monday.
- I chatted with my mate Josh about SEO, which turned into more of a chat about content strategy and how to see what the competition is doing. It was enlightening. I now know how to identify the topics that Google thinks (based on keyword analysis) make up a domain like “digital transformation”. It’s not hard, and it can help guide what we should be talking about to compete at the same level as people like us.
- Following on from that chat, I made a list of companies I think are our competition.
- I updated the Kollektiv LinkedIn page.
- I arranged a hopes and fears session for Monday and started adding my own hopes and fears.
