Week 38: cookie messages at 3am
Happy Friday!
I’m working on an exemplar service for Ontario One Call: sharing locate requests.
This week was more productive than the previous few. We’ve got a prototype of the service. I spent time reviewing and suggesting changes to the content design, and I’ve got the team thinking about how people get to the service. Frustratingly, we’re now at the point I would have liked to be at before starting the discovery four or five weeks ago. I don’t know what that says about my lack of patience, or my optimism about how long things take to get done.
I also started thinking about how to help One Call set up analytics. I recommend Google Tag Manager, because you can send data to both Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. I went down a rabbit hole of adding this to my own website, woke up at night thinking about cookie messages, and removed it again.
Outside work, it’s been a wet and cold week here in Chamonix, ending in snow. Yes, snow, last night. I’m not ready for summer to end yet!
I hope you all have a great weekend.
